SONS OF NOTHING
Not content to just be the best Pink Floyd tribute band around, Park
City’s Sons of Nothing also write their own tunes—and release
albums more frequently than the Floyd, too. Tonight, the band’s
second disc, One Left Turn (SonsofNothing.com), drops, a five-song EP of
guitar-driven rockers that more echo Mellencamp and Radiohead than Waters
and Gilmour. You can’t have your pudding ’til you eat your
meat, so the set of original material will be followed by a FloydShow
performance of Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety—leave the Wizard
of Oz at home, Clyde. FRIDAY, June 27 @ Suede, 1612 Ute Blvd. (Kimball
Junction), Park City, 435-658-2665, 9:30 p.m.
